These Voice Usage Terms ("Terms") govern the creation, storage, and use of voice profiles on SpeakGlobal (speakglobal.ai), operated by DSGNX Inc., a company registered in Alberta, Canada ("we," "us," or "SpeakGlobal"). By creating a voice profile, you agree to these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree, do not create a voice profile on the platform.

1. Definitions

Voice Profile means a digital model of vocal characteristics (tone, pitch, pacing, accent patterns) generated from audio you provide, stored as a voice token on our platform.
Voice Owner means the individual whose voice is captured in a Voice Profile.
Source Audio means the audio recording(s) you upload or record to create a Voice Profile.
Generated Content means any audio output produced using a Voice Profile, including enhanced recordings and text-to-speech output.

2. Consent and Authorization

2.1 Your Representation

By creating a Voice Profile, you represent and warrant that:

The Source Audio contains your own voice; or
You have obtained explicit, informed consent from the Voice Owner to create a Voice Profile using their voice on this platform; and
You will use the Voice Profile only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

2.2 Third-Party Voices

If you create a Voice Profile using someone else's voice, you are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining valid consent from the Voice Owner. You must be able to provide evidence of this consent if requested by SpeakGlobal. We reserve the right to suspend or delete any Voice Profile if we have reasonable grounds to believe consent was not properly obtained.

2.3 Minors

You may not create a Voice Profile using the voice of any individual under the age of 18 without verifiable parental or legal guardian consent.

3. How We Use Voice Data

3.1 Purpose

We process your Voice Profile solely to provide the services you request, including voice enhancement, text-to-speech generation, and related audio processing features.

3.2 No Training Without Consent

We will not use your Voice Profile or Source Audio to train general-purpose AI models without obtaining separate, explicit consent from you. Service-specific improvements (such as improving accuracy for your specific voice) are covered under these Terms.

3.3 No Sale or Sharing

We will not sell, license, or share your Voice Profile or Source Audio with third parties, except as required to deliver the service (for example, processing through our AI infrastructure providers) or as required by law.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Storage

Voice Profiles are stored as encrypted voice tokens on secure servers. Source Audio used to create the profile may be retained for quality assurance and to enable profile regeneration. You can request deletion of Source Audio separately from the Voice Profile.

4.2 Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your voice data, including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and regular security audits.

4.3 Retention

We retain your Voice Profile for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon account deletion or your request, we will delete your Voice Profile and associated Source Audio within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Your Rights

You retain the following rights over your voice data:

Access. You can view and manage your Voice Profiles at any time from your account dashboard.
Deletion. You can delete any Voice Profile at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We will process deletion within 30 days.
Portability. You can request a copy of your Voice Profile data in a standard format by contacting support.
Withdrawal of Consent. You can withdraw consent for voice data processing at any time by deleting your Voice Profile. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use Voice Profiles to:

Impersonate another person without their consent or for fraudulent purposes
Create deepfakes or misleading content intended to deceive
Produce content that is defamatory, threatening, harassing, or otherwise unlawful
Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights
Generate content that attributes statements or opinions to the Voice Owner that they did not make or authorize

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any account engaged in prohibited use, without prior notice.

7. Ownership

7.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of your Source Audio and Generated Content. By using the service, you grant SpeakGlobal a limited, non-exclusive license to process your Source Audio solely for the purpose of creating and maintaining your Voice Profile and delivering the services.

7.2 Voice Profile

The Voice Profile is derived from your voice and remains associated with your account. While the underlying technology is proprietary to SpeakGlobal, you control the creation, use, and deletion of your Voice Profile.

8. Liability and Disclaimer

SpeakGlobal provides voice processing services on an "as is" basis. While we strive for accuracy and quality, we do not guarantee that Generated Content will be free of errors or perfectly replicate the Voice Owner's speech patterns in all contexts.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Voice Profiles and Generated Content complies with applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to data protection, privacy, and biometric data laws.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta, Canada.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Voice Profile features after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may delete your Voice Profile before the changes take effect.
